As part of B.C.’s Start Up Plan, North Burnaby Massage will be reopening May 19th, as part of Phase 2.

We will be following the guidelines and protocol set by WorksafeBC and CMTBC to minimize risk to both the clients and therapists

Katherine Short is a graduate of the 3000-hour Registered Massage Therapy program at the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy (formerly known as Utopia Academy) graduating in August 2014. Katherine has experience working with a variety of different conditions such as postural dysfunction, over use injuries, headaches, tempomandibular joint dysfunction (dental work), whiplash, digestive disorders, pre and post natal massage, common musculoskeletal conditions, neurological disorders, scar work, chronic pain and stress management as well as sports related injuries.

Katherine is also working part time for the Canadian National Mountain Bike Team as their Registered Massage Therapist at World Cup events. In her spare time she likes to mountain bike and trail run. Katherine uses a variety of techniques such as myofascial release, neuromuscular therapy, trigger point therapy, Craniosacral therapy, deep tissue massage as well as Swedish relaxation massage.

Katherine encourages her patients to take an active role in their health, offering advice after treatment on strengthening and stretching exercises that will promote recovery, wellness and prevention of injuries. Katherine encourages those who come in for treatment to ask questions and be open and honest about their condition so she can provide the best possible treatment.
